ACG Pharmapack, a global producer of coated aluminum foils and PVC films for pharmaceutical grade capsule and tablet blister packaging, and CCL Industries, a specialty packaging company headquartered in Toronto, Canada, have entered into an exclusive North American distribution agreement for packaging solutions.
ACG will continue to market packaging tools directly from its office located in New Jersey. CCL Label, a converter of pressure sensitive and film materials for label applications, will invest in wide web slitting and advanced converting technology at its facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. The investment will make printed films and foils easily available to CCL Label’s healthcare customers in North America along with the label products.
ACG International’s CEO, Michael Franklin remarked that the collaboration will benefit CCL and ACG’s common clients in the pharmaceutical industry by integrating their product and business portfolios. He added that their US pharmaceutical customers will have easy and instant access to printed and unprinted foils and films for blister packaging by using ACG's solutions.
Rob Ryckman, VP for Sales & Marketing at CCL's Healthcare Solutions business, said that they are delighted to add ACG’s products into their portfolio to support their North American healthcare clients. Customers will be able to depend on the same high quality standards and fast service response times for foils and films they have come to expect from the company’s label products.
