Scholle Packaging, a specialized provider of bag-in-box packaging for the industrial, food and beverage markets, announced that it is honored with a notable WorldStar Award for its novel bag-in-box solution for automotive fluids and chemicals.
The award was presented at the 2012 WorldStar awards event that took place in Croatia. The bag-in-box packaging product from Scholle Packaging enables manufacturers to satisfy the needs of their customers by offering an efficient, cost-effective solution in an eco-friendly package.
The bag-in-box is a robust, tamper-evident, lighter, more compact, easy-to-handle and non-refillable high-performance packaging solution. It considerably improves costs with customized dispensing systems and highly efficient package. In addition, the packing offers 40% more utilization of storage space and has less environmental impact.
The World Packaging Organisation (WPO) presents the WorldStar Awards, recognizing the world’s best innovation in packaging. This year, there were more than 240 entries for the award from across the world and 23 judges evaluated innovation, graphic design and purpose to decide the winners.
In addition to the WorldStar Award, the company has won a series of awards in 2011, including the DuPont Award for Packaging Innovation, the Ameristar Award and the 3M Sustainability Award 2011. Scholle Packaging believes that convenience, safety, cost-saving, sustainability and maximization of supply-chain efficiencies are the major factors that drives packaging innovation, stated Stephen Lopiano, the company’s Market Segment Director.
