Grayling Industries, a company that manufactures flexible industrial packaging, has launched a complete range of drum liners suitable for 55 gallon drums.
Dubbed the Guardian drum liner offering, the product line comprises four products namely, flexible round bottom drum liners, multi-ply, liquid tight liners, heavy gauge rigid bottom liners, and bag-on-a-roll liners.
The drum liners are made from durable, engineered polyethylene, which is either 4 mil or 10 mil. The Guardian range of drum liners facilitate the reuse and recycling of the drums as they create an effective barrier between the drum and the drum contents. The drum liners are designed to be compatible with fiber, metal and plastic drums and can be employed for packaging dry materials and liquids. The drum liners can be customized to suit specific needs such as high temperature conditions, chemical compatibility, hygroscopic products and sensitivity to moisture or oxygen.
The Rigid Round Bottom liner is the latest addition to the drum liner range. It is manufactured by fastening a cylindrical body made of 10 mil polyethylene to a molded lip made of 20 mil polyethylene and finally fastening the body at the base to a round 20 mil polyethylene bottom. This drum liner can stand on its own as it is sturdy and self-supporting owing to its construction and structure. It can also retain its shape in the drum when subject to processing. The liner is designed to remove pleats and folds that can obstruct complete dispensing or filling by trapping material in the pleats or folds.
