On the back of the economic recession, the BRIC construction industries underwent a serious contraction in 2009. The resultant drop in demand for building materials including concrete and cement led in its turn to a considerable decline in the concrete and cement market value during the year.
During 2010-2011, however, due to the governments’ support of projects construction activity in all BRIC economies was in the rise, which helped the concrete and cement market to record positive annual growth rates. Additionally, with the improvement of global economic environment, previously postpones or rejected construction projects in the BRIC countries are predicted to resume during the next few years.
New research report “Concrete and Cement in BRIC to 2016: Market Databook” worked out by Timetric offers a comprehensive guide to the concrete and cement market in the BRIC countries. It presents historic (2007-2011) and forecast (2012-2017) market values for the concrete and cement market and its categories.
