DuPont Completes Acquisition of ChemFirst

DuPont have announced the completion of their acquisition of ChemFirst for approximately $400 million.

The acquisition includes:

  • EKC Technology – A semiconductor fabrication business
  • Electronic Polymers – Also involved with semiconductor manufacture
  • First Chemical Corp. – A chemical intermediates business

The addition of these businesses to the DuPont stable makes them a leading supplier of integrated circuit materials and compliments range of products for the electronics industry.

The purchase of these businesses also reinforces DuPont’s commitment to developing materials and technologies for the semiconductor market.
