Bruker is pleased to announce the introduction of the TITAN Detector Shield™. This unique patent pending accessory protects the detector window from being punctured by sharp objects like scrap shavings and wires, while allowing rapid and accurate analysis of almost any material.
This protective shield minimizes the chance that the detector will be damaged, thus avoiding the cost and hassle associated with the replacement of a broken detector window. This protection does not sacrifice any of the analytical performance of the instrument, even for the light elements like magnesium, aluminum and silicon.
John Landefeld, Executive Vice President of the Bruker Elemental Division, commented: “Handheld XRF users know that detector replacements – due to accidental puncturing – are very expensive repairs. This unique protection of the detector will provide S1 TITAN owners and operators with peace of mind and better up-time.”
The TITAN Detector Shield™ is available for both the S1 TITANLE, the SDD based analyzer, as well as the S1 TITANSP, the Si-PIN based analyzer. This optional accessory can be ordered with either model when buying a new unit.
