ALBIS PLASTIC GmbH, the Hamburg-based European specialist in the distribution and compounding of technical thermoplastics, will be one of the exhibitors at the 27th International Trade Fair and Exhibition for the Plastics and Rubber Industries in China. CHINAPLAS will take place from 20-23 May 2013 in the city of Guangzhou in Southern China.
Both the company’s own products (ALCOM-Compounds, ALTECH, ALTECH NXT PP and ALFATER XL) and its distribution portfolio will be exhibited on Booth R21 in Hall 10.2. The exhibition and presentation is aimed at the processing industry in China as well as manufacturing companies and commercial enterprises throughout Asia.
CHINAPLAS (http://www.chinaplasonline.com) is the leading international plastics trade fair in the Asia area this year, more than 2,800 exhibitors from 36 countries will be presenting their products in an exhibition area spanning 220,000 m2.
“Just like the adjacent Asian countries, the economic regions in Eastern and Southern China are of key strategic importance to ALBIS also. We are present here with a number of offices and serve our customers from several warehouses”, explains Stuart Yelland, General Manager Greater China at ALBIS PLASTIC. This summer, a new ALBIS production plant is scheduled to start operations at the Changshu location. The plant will be 5,000 m2 in size, with an initial capacity of 10,000 tons per year. “In view of our annual growth rates, the compounding plant represents a key strategic building block that enables us to efficiently serve the emerging local markets on-site with our attractive product and service solutions”, Yelland emphasises.
The CHINAPLAS exhibition site is an important meeting venue for industry partners, suppliers and customers from the target markets. The decision to use an engine as the central element of the ALBIS trade fair booth shows that the main focus is on the automotive industry. However, ALBIS will also be presenting itself as a provider of solutions for the electrical & electronics, healthcare and packaging sectors as well.
