Addivant™ USA, LLC, the global leader in specialty additives with regional headquarters in Shanghai, China, will exhibit in Hall 11.2, stand M25 and host a technical seminar for customers during Chinaplas 2013.
Chinaplas 2013, 17th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, is an internationally-recognized meeting of industry leaders to be held from May 20th -23rd at the China Import & Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China. The event is the official worldwide launch for Addivant since it announced new ownership earlier this month, unveiled a new corporate identity and announced plans for expanding its facilities, broadening product offering and fostering innovation.
Addivant’s growth plans include further investment in its joint ventures in Asia and the Middle East, two of the fastest-growing regions in the world, and expanding its existing technical sales force, distributor relationships and team of highly trained experts in the field of additives – all in an effort to position itself closer to its customers and deliver the highest level of support worldwide.
“We are a new company with a strong heritage. What sets Addivant apart is our drive for innovation and our ability to deliver unique solutions to our customers – solutions that include our existing products as well as the next generation of additives,” said Peter R. Smith, President and CEO of Addivant. “We chose China for our official company launch to demonstrate our commitment to this region, where we’ll continue to invest. Chinaplas is a vital opportunity to meet with our current and future customers to share our plans, showcase our technical expertise and discuss how our drive to innovate can help them succeed.”
New Products
The Chinaplas audience will be the first to learn about POLYBOND 6009 and POLYBOND® 6029, Addivant’s innovative new polymer modifier products derived from renewable resources. POLYBOND® 6009 and POLYBOND® 6029 act as coupling agents or compatibilizers in formulations where high renewable content raw materials are preferred.
POLYBOND® 6009 and POLYBOND® 6029 do not use petroleum-based feedstocks and contain greater than 95% renewable content raw materials. The launch of these new innovative product grades complement a growing portfolio of Addivant additives developed from renewable resources, including the cutting-edge GENOX® high performance, phenol-free stabilizer, derived from rapeseed oil. GENOX® functions as both a primary and secondary antioxidant to offer exceptional melt flow properties and color protection during polyolefin processing.
Technical Seminar
On May 21st, Dr. Jiong Yu, Technical Support Manager for Addivant, will present “Case Studies of Developing Value-Added and Differentiated Products,” including WESTON® 705 phosphite in elastomers, LOWINOX® CA22, POLYBOND® polymer modifier solutions and non-migratory, high-efficiency antiozonant in tire and other rubber products. Addivant will share the company’s best cost-performance innovative solutions for a variety of markets and highlight how these solutions can bring real value throughout the entire polymer value chain from upstream producers down to the end users.
