EcoLogic, a company creating and providing environmentally responsible solutions for plastics globally, announced that company president, James Rooney will be speaking at Smithers Rapra's Biopolymers Symposium 2013 on June 12th in Chicago, IL.
EcoLogic, LLC owns, manufactures and markets Eco-One™ brand of additives for plastic products worldwide. Eco-One™ is an organic additive that enhances the biodegradation of plastic products in a biologically active landfill (appropriate facilities are not available in all areas).
Biopolymers 2013 will take place over one and a half days and will open each day with a plenary session before moving into tracked sessions which will allow attendees to create an agenda best suited to their business development needs.

In his presentation, Mr. Rooney will discuss how plastic biodegradation in landfills is a feasible, responsible solution for persistent landfill and environmental waste. Mr. Rooney will also talk about how the Eco-One™ solution positively challenges the notion that recycling and composting are the only true environmental avenues to reducing plastic waste.
Additionally, this presentation will explain how proper sustainability practices do not need to be a burdening investment on business. Attendees will leave this session with a deeper understanding of the benefits and science behind enhanced biodegradable plastic.
