Malvern to Showcase Latest Advances in Particle and Droplet Size Analysis

Malvern Panalytical will showcase latest advances in particle and droplet size analysis in sprays and aerosols on its exhibition stand at the 20th Annual Meeting of the Institute of Liquid Atomization Spray Systems (ILASS), Europe, which will be held from 5-7 September 2005 in Orléans, France.

Malvern Panalytical’s laser diffraction-based Spraytec system is an established tool for particle size analysis in sprays, delivering real-time, high-speed measurements that enable the complete characterization of both continuous and pulsed spray events. High acquisition speeds, coupled with the ability to cover a broad size range, ensure that changes in spray particle size can be precisely tracked with microsecond resolution. In addition, Malvern Panalytical’s patented multiple scattering analysis ensures measurement accuracy is maintained even when the spray concentration is high.

Particle size in sprays and aerosols is important in defining product performance in a range of applications, from the delivery of pharmaceutical formulations through to the application of coatings and agrochemicals, and the development of fuel injection systems.
