HORIBA Scientific, global leader in fluorescence spectroscopy systems, announces a new series of SpectraLEDs for phosphorescence measurements.
The new SpectraLEDs, unique to HORIBA Scientific, are low cost, long pulsed LED sources available at many new wavelengths from deep UV to NIR, offering the highest repetition rates on the market, (0.1Hz to> 2.5kHz) with our DeltaHub electronics. They are mechanically and optically interchangeable with our NanoLED and DeltaDiode sources.
SpectraLEDs have software controlled pulse duration and no afterglow, permitting easier interpretation of microsecond lifetimes compared to a xenon flashlamp. Each source contains built-in adjustable aspheric collection optics and bayonet mounting. Our DataStation software automatically adjusts the repetition rate and can be used to program the pulse width to optimize the measurement for each sample’s phosphorescence.
“Our SpectraLEDs, available only from HORIBA Scientific, are useful in applications such as lanthanide luminescence, protein phosphorescence and monitoring security ink phosphorescence,” said Ishai Nir, Director of Fluorescence for HORIBA Scientific. “These plug-and-play sources optimized for measuring lifetimes from microseconds to seconds, make phosphorescence measurements simple.”
SpectraLEDs can be added as an accessory to any of HORIBA’s lifetime systems based on our DeltaHub or FluoroHub electronics.
