Berry Plastics Group, Inc. is proud to announce that it recently received top awards from three of its valued customers: NB Handy, Eastman Chemical, and Brown-Forman. The Company received the Vendor of the Year 2012 award from NB Handy, and a Supplier Excellence award from both Eastman Chemical and Brown-Forman.

Award: HVAC Vendor of the Year 2012
Presented by: NB Handy
Description: NB Handy's vendor evaluation program rates vendors both objectively and subjectively on specific criteria including lead time and on-time delivery, shipping complete, quality, marketing efforts, training and sales tools, pricing, and overall customer service.
Berry Plastics has supplied Polyken HVAC tape to NB Handy for thirteen years. The Company has received this honor twice in the past three years, placing Berry Plastics among the industry's top performers.
Award: Supplier Excellence
Presented by: Eastman Chemical
Description: Eastman Chemical's Supplier Excellence award is intended for suppliers who demonstrate exceptional performance and consistency in areas such as on-time delivery, conformance to specifications, and continual improvement efforts.
"Berry Plastics has been a leader in the FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) industry for over 30 years," said Ernie Giordano, Director of Sales and Marketing for Berry Plastics' FIBC group. "Our FIBC business is uniquely positioned to deliver custom bulk packaging solutions to the marketplace. Our North American-based manufacturing, coupled with global sourcing capability, allows us to partner with customers such as Eastman Chemical to provide a high-quality packaging solution for their business needs.
Award: Supplier Excellence "Barrelhead" Award
Presented by: Brown-Forman (Jack Daniel's)
Description: The Barrelhead Award is granted to suppliers who achieve outstanding supplier performance based on criteria including on-time delivery, PPM quality defect rate, quality discrepancies, critical defect repeats, supplier attributed downtime, and Corrective Action Request response time.
Berry Plastics' Louisville and Bowling Green, Kentucky, plants received Jack Daniel's Supplier Excellence Program "Barrelhead" awards. Out of 100 points possible, Berry Plastics' Louisville plant scored 99.9 points, while the Company's Bowling Green plant scored 98.5. The Supplier Excellence program has been in existence for seven years, with Berry Plastics' scores setting records for all suppliers.
