Dow Corning to Present on Improving Compliance with Innovative Silicone-Based Drug Delivery Systems

Dow Corning will address the need for improved efficacy and patient compliance at the forthcoming CPhl Worldwide and the Speakers Corner Lecture at the tradeshow. Myriam Delvaux, Global Pharma Market Leader, will present "Improving efficacy and compliance: Innovative silicone-based topical and transdermal drug delivery systems."

Delvaux said: "Increasing costs of health care are driving payers to demand outcome-based solutions – increasing the need for improved efficacy and patient compliance in the delivery of pharmaceuticals."

In the talk Dow Corning will outline:

  • How silicone-based solutions can help provide superior drug delivery profiles
  • How enhanced treatment efficacy and product aesthetics can lead to better patient compliance
  • How new APIs designed for manufacturing of aqueous based pharmaceuticals can lead to more convenient forms in gastroenterology.

They will explain the company's proven capabilities with a view to future collaboration for the potential creation of optimal drug delivery systems for the controlled release of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
