Victrex, the high performance polymer solutions provider, is now certified according to ISO 14001:2004 for its environmental management system at its British manufacturing site.
The certificate issued by the certification body, Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, covers the manufacture of VICTREX® PAEK compounded pellets consisting of polymers and fillers from the production of pellets to dispatch.
“This certification is a significant achievement and reinforces our commitment to being a sustainable and environmentally-conscious business. Along with many of our customers, we too believe in the importance of maintaining a verifiably effective environmental management system for our supply chain,” explains Simon Evans, Global Safety Health & Environment Manager at Victrex. “One example would be lighter aircraft designs enabled by our PAEK polymer compounds. Lighter aircraft save fuel costs while simultaneously lowering their carbon footprint resulting in a reduced environmental impact.”
Victrex is an innovative world leader in polyaryletherketones (PAEK), including VICTREX PEEK.
