3D printing has been around for a while, but now the world is taking notice. No longer used only for prototypes or patterns in industry, 3D printing is increasingly being used to manufacture parts. The following video shows just some of its capabilities.
3D printing will be on display by Stratasys, 3D Systems, and other companies exhibiting at Pacific Design & Manufacturing at the Anaheim Convention Center, in Anaheim, California, February 11-13, 2014. Not only will the exhibitors have 3D printing at their booths, the advanced manufacturing event will include educational sessions for the design and manufacturing community on what is happening in this field. Free presentations on 3D printing will be offered at the Center Stage on the Expo Hall floor each day of the event. In addition, the advanced Learning Labs will provide 2-hours sessions on applications of this technology.
For event attendees who would like to have the technology in their own office, they can stop by the Attendee Appreciation Booth in Hall E for a chance to win a 3D printer. One will be given away each day of the event. While at this booth, they can enjoy complimentary coffee or popcorn.
More results of 3D printing will be seen at the Golden Mousetrap Awards, taking place on February 11 at 5:15 p.m., in the Platinum Ballroom at the Anaheim Marriott, adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center. The trophies being presented at the awards ceremony were created by 3D printing, compliments of Stratasys.
The 3D Printing Revolution
