Timken Receive Approval from Federal Trade Commission to Acquire Torrington

Bearings specialist, Timken has just received approval from the US Federal Trade Commission for its proposed acquisition of Torrington Company from Ingersoll-Rand Company.

Both parties are pleased with the outcome of the review, which will allow them to complete the transaction early next year.

Other factors to be taken into account before the closing of the deal include additional regulatory clearances outside the USA, successful applications for debt and equity financing and customary closing conditions.
