10th International LED Lighting Exposition: Nordson ASYMTEK to Present Precision Fluid Dispensing Processes

Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company, a leader in dispensing, jetting, and coating equipment and technologies, will be presenting its precision fluid dispensing processes for LED manufacturing at the 10th International LED Lighting Exposition, Taipei, Taiwan on June 17-19, 2014.

Applications include phosphor coating for tight CIE LEDs, high-throughput silicone phosphor encapsulation, pure silicone casting, flux, and underfill for flip chip, package-on-package (PoP), chip scale packages (CSP), and ball grid arrays (BGA).

Quantum™ Q-6800 high-performance, large-format dispensing system

On display will be Nordson ASYMTEK’s Quantum™ Q-6800 high-performance, large-format dispensing system for SMT, PCB packaging, and microelectronics assembly applications. Quantum’s dispense area of 423 x 458 mm handles a wide range of substrate sizes and is large enough so the dispense area isn’t compromised even with dual valve configurations, enabling flexibility in the dispensing process. The dual-action or dual-simultaneous valve configurations maximize high volume applications and can reduce dispensing time by up to 50%, dramatically increasing throughput and yield.

“The LED market calls for the utmost precision in depositing some very difficult to work with fluids,” explained Brian Chung, Nordson ASYMTEK product manager. “Nordson ASYMTEK specializes in developing products to accommodate the challenging dispensing and jetting needs for manufacturing high-brightness LEDs.”
