TSI, the leader in precision measurement instruments and chemical analysis solutions, launched the PolyMax™ Plastics Analyzer, a rugged, handheld tool specifically designed for identification of both light and dark plastics, at the recent Plastics Recycling Conference in Dallas, Texas.
“The PolyMax Plastics Analyzer is a radically new tool for plastics analysis and identification that fulfills an unmet need in the marketplace. Unlike traditional methods, the PolyMax technology puts laboratory-grade chemistry analysis in the hand of anyone using the device; while its point-and shoot usability and rugged design provide consistent and accurate readings no matter who’s using it.”
The new PolyMax™ Plastics Analyzer takes the guesswork out of plastics identification with its ability to determine light and black plastics with irrefutable accuracy at every stage of the recycling process; in turn allowing plastics brokers and recycling facilities to buy and sell with more confidence than ever before.
The analyzer is preloaded with a comprehensive library of materials allowing users to rapidly identify plastics in any form from all major families and subfamilies of plastics: Polyethylene (PE), Polystyrene, Nylon, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polycarbonate (PC) and Polypropylene.
The PolyMax analyzer also features a lightweight, ruggedized NEMA-4 portable enclosure, a large 5" color touch screen, and an onboard camera for time-stamped report generation.
Todd Hardwick, Sr. Global Marketing Manager states, "The PolyMax Plastics Analyzer is a radically new tool for plastics analysis and identification that fulfills an unmet need in the marketplace. Unlike traditional methods, the PolyMax technology puts laboratory-grade chemistry analysis in the hand of anyone using the device; while its point-and shoot usability and rugged design provide consistent and accurate readings no matter who’s using it."
The PolyMax Plastics Analyzer will also be on display at Booth 1601 at the 2015 PittCon Conference and Expo, as well as Booth 416 at the 2015 ISRI Convention & Exposition.
