Clariant Showcases Pioneering Skin and Scalp Care Ingredients to Help Combat Stressors of Modern Lifestyle at PCHi2019 China

Clariant, a focused and innovative specialty chemical company, today announced it will be highlighting its range of ground-breaking ingredients for skin and hair care formulations to fight negative effects of modern lifestyles and pollution at the Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) exhibition in China, February 26-28.

Stress, jetlag, shift working, intense lifestyles and even exposure to blue light emissions from electronic devices such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones, disrupt the body’s circadian rhythm – or 24 biological hour clock - leading to deregulation of the skin’s own circadian rhythm. This can cause the skin to show signs of fatigue, making it more prone to aggressors. Clariant’s Nobel Prize-inspired B-Circadin helps fight the effects of skin damage caused by disruptions to the circadian rhythm.

Busy, modern lifestyles also leave skin stressed and susceptible to damage from external pollutants. Clariant’s BioDTox is a nature-derived, anti-oxidant ingredient which leverages the important period of night time to help detoxify and clarify skin. Made from citrus, aloe and broccoli extracts, BioDTox reduces pollutant adhesion to the skin, cleaning pores, reducing sebum and gently exfoliating to improve skin complexion and reduce signs of aging.

“Using the science behind leveraging certain times of the day for skin and scalp renewal, Clariant is proud to showcase our highly innovative and specialized, nature-inspired ingredients for skin and scalp care”, said Zhigang Miao, Head of Clariant’s Business Unit Industrial and Consumer Specialties, China.

In addition to innovative ingredients for skin formulations, Clariant will also be showcasing its latest solutions for combatting scalp conditions. Its award winning Eosidin, a natural active ingredient derived from the green citrus unshiu, calms atopic-prone issues and hypersensitivity of the scalp through intense moisturization.

The company’s Calm Yang combines active ingredients extracted from seven plant species to provide a natural barrier to water loss and reducing scalp itch via non-toxic and non-irritating protection from external pollution.

Clariant’s EMortal Pep, another natural, non-GMO active ingredient made of pea peptide, known for its high phyto-nutriment content, stimulates hair stem cells regeneration, increasing their viability and preventing hair loss.
