Thermaltronics USA, Inc. received a 2020 Mexico Technology Award in the category of Soldering – Robotic for its TMT-R8000S. The award was announced during a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Monday, October 26, 2020.
“We are very hopeful that this new system will reach a much broader market, due to price competitiveness + better technology,” commented a Thermaltronics representative.
The single-head soldering robot, TMT-R8000S Solder Robot System, is designed for simplified soldering applications but still includes vision/mapping, fiducial marks and dynamic laser height control and incorporates the same IP software used on the company’s successful benchtop system. It also includes a separate drive motor, which allows for adjustment solder wire feeder, a feature under patent application.
The new TMT-R8000S solder robot will enable companies to meet the requirements of Industry 4.0, with accuracy, repeatability and traceability, at an affordable price.
