ASM International invites your company to submit one or more nominations for the 2007 Engineering Materials Achievement Award. This prestigious award was established by ASM in 1969 to recognize "achievements in materials or materials systems relating to the application of knowledge of materials to an engineering structure or to the design and manufacture of a product."
The 2007 winner will be publicly honored at the ASM Awards Dinner held during ASM's Materials Science & Technology 2007 event in Detroit, MI, and will receive a certificate of achievement as well as a stylized "E" sculpture signifying engineering excellence. In addition, the winner will be featured in ASM's Advanced Materials & Processes magazine, complete with a feature article.
Does your company have an outstanding achievement in a materials or materials system that could be a candidate for the Engineering Materials Achievement Award? If so, view complete information including rules, nomination form, list of past winners.
You may also be interested in nominating a candidate for ASM's Medal for the Advancement of Research Award. This award honors an executive who over a period of years has consistently sponsored research and development and by foresight and actions shall have helped substantially to advance the arts and sciences relating to materials science and engineering. Nominations for the 2007 award, however, need to be submitted by an ASM organizational unit (see page 2 of the nomination form). If you want to learn more or submit a nomination, visit the web site for the complete rules, nomination form and list of past recipients.
Nominations must be received by ASM no later than August 1, 2006. Questions may be directed to Lori Sobota, ASM Staff Liaison to the Selection Committees, at 440/338-5151, ext. 5503; e-mail [email protected].
