GE Completes Acquisition of International Fiber Systems

GE have just completed their acquisition of International Fiber Systems (IFS). Conneticut-base IFS are suppliers of advanced, digital fiber optic transmission products and systems for electronic security and intelligent transportation systems.

International Fiber Systems will become part of GE Interlogix, Inc, which is itself a part of GE Industrial Systems.

IFS will bring a range of analogue and digital fibre optic transmission products such as video, audio and data signals products to GE. These products are used applications including access control, fire, alarm, and video surveillance and detection systems, as well as highway monitoring and control and building automation.
