Timken Introduces New Lubrication Device

Timken has announced the expansion of its line of lubricant-delivery devices with the addition of the Timken C-Power multipoint lubricator.

This centralized lubricator is capable of dispensing grease up to 100 feet through six lubrication points, making it ideal for bearings, chains, guideways and other industrial equipment components. Capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -4 F to 140 F (-20 C to 60 C), Timken C-Power can pre-set lubrication intervals between one day and 24 months.

"Customers turn to Timken for all of their friction-management needs," said David A. Pierman, manager of Timken's lubricant and lubricant-delivery systems for the Industrial Group. "Adding this multipoint lubricator to our product portfolio provides our customers with a safer, more effective way to lubricate multiple points more consistently than if they were to do it manually, potentially saving time and money."

Proper lubrication is critical to machine performance and component longevity. Research indicates that more than 50 percent of all bearing damage is related to inadequate or improper lubrication.

In addition to the C-Power centralized multipoint lubricator, Timken also offers G-Power (gas powered) and M-Power (motorized) single-point lubricators. The G-power lubricators are designed for traditional industrial environments, as well as high-humidity, high-corrosion, hygienically clean and low-ambient-temperature applications. M-Power lubricators feature reusable drive motors -- battery or direct-wire powered -- and replaceable lubrication canisters.

G-Power, M-Power and C-Power canisters can be filled with Timken- formulated lubricants or many other types of commercial lubricants that are required by a specific application. A full line of accessories -- including brackets, clamps, brushes, fittings and hose extensions -- ease installation and offer a host of mounting options for hard-to-reach locations.
