DuPont Titanium Technologies (DTT) recently organized a promotional campaign with B&Q to support the product sales of Lifeproof paint, co-branded with DuPont™ Teflon® surface protector, in Europe. B&Q is the largest home improvement and garden center retailer in the UK and Europe and the third largest in the world.
A competition was held at an event where Lifeproof paint consumers and B&Q staff competed for tickets to the F1 Grand Prix in Monza, Italy.
Lifeproof is available in a wide variety of colors and contains Teflon® surface protector technology and DuPont titanium dioxide. The paint is tough, durable, easy to clean and apply on walls, ceilings, wood and radiators.
DTT has created extra value for B&Q to increase consumer awareness of both DuPont and Teflon®.
DTT has taken the responsibility for all co-branding activities with either the DuPont corporate brand or the Teflon® surface protector brand in the paint and coatings segment. DTT is involved in all aspects including: concept generation, market research, quality testing, benchmarking and merchandising. Everything is coordinated from Belgium with currently three active licensees in the UK and others in Russia, Germany, Spain, Turkey and Romania. Given the current success of Lifeproof sales, the partnership between DuPont and B&Q is expected to grow in the future, including more Teflon® surface protector paints.
