IPL Plastics to Suspend Production at Ontario Plant

Canadian-based IPL Plastics will suspend operations at its Ontario plant on September 5.

The company has cited a poor sales outlook for the suspension which will result in 150 workers being laid off. Other factors that contributed to the suspension include SARS, a stronger Canadian dollar and weak sales to the automotive industry.

Production from the plant will be shifted to two of their other four production facilities.
