As part of their global strategy to divest non-core businesses, Bayer will sell of their subsidiary Walothen GmbH to the Finnish company Wihuri. The transaction is due to be completed on September 1, pending regulatory approvals.
Walothen produces polypropylene films for the tobacco industry, print lamination, overwrap films and standard films.
Walothen is located in the Walsrode Industrial Park. Wihuri also has operations in the Walsrode Industrial Park producing, where they produce composite films.
