London Metals Exchange Targets Plastics

The London Metals Exchange has announced that it is working with the plastics industry to establishing a futures contract for the industry.

Primarily they have been looking at polyolefins, but have also expressed an interest in polypropylene and linear low density polyethylene.

The LME’s interest in plastics has stemmed from the fact that these materials are akin to several of their current contracts.
