Nippon Steel Strengthen Alliance with LNM

Nippon Steel is to increase its involvement with the privately owned British steel company, LNM. Through this alliance, they plan to increase their supply of sheet metal into the US automotive industry.

Nippon Steel will provide technology for high tensile strength steel to Ispat Inland Inc, a company owned by LNM. They will also provide the technology to two US-based joint ventures that they are involved with, involving Ispat Inland and Ispat International.

The joint venture companies I/N Tek and I/N Kote mainly supply sheet steel products to Japanese car manufacturers based in America.
