AvestaPolarit to Increase Stainless Capacity

In a strategic move to increase growth outside Europe and develop the organisations business in long stainless products, AvestaPolarit have formed a co-operation agreement with Allegheny Technologies Inc. Under the agreement, AvetsPolarit will contribute towards expanding production capabilities at Alegheny's Richburg mill in South Carolina (USA), in return for compoetitive processing pricing over a 20 year period.

AvestaPolarit will also be investing in its own factory in Richburg to enhance cold finishing capabilities. Total spend for the two projects is US$22 million.
