New PET Compounds and GFRPs on Display at K with TechnoCompound

New PET compounds and long glass fibre reinforced polymers with improved properties will be the focal point of the presentation of the compounding specialist TechnoCompound, Bad Sobernheim/ Germany, at this year's 'K' at Düsseldorf from 24th to 31st October 2007 (Hall 6, Stand B44).

With the introduction of its new 'TechnoPet' product family, the company aims to break into the market for injection-mouldable PET compounds (PET = polyethylene terephthalate), a market that is growing at a rate of around 6% per year. These compounds feature a fast rate of crystallization, which permits short cycle times and hence economically efficient production.

The new long glass fibre reinforced polymers of the 'TechnoFiber' series manifest a high quality of impregnation thanks to their improved formulation and optimized production technology. The resulting excellent adhesion between the glass fibres and the polymer matrix makes for a general improvement in product properties, not least in shear strength, for example. This has been proved by comprehensive shear tests carried out in the company's own laboratories. TechnoCompound's portfolio comprises not only engineering polymers with specially tailored properties but also a technically sound application advisory service. Thanks to its lean organization structure, TechnoCompound can offer its products at highly competitive prices.
