Puris is advancing market adoption of high-performance titanium and alloy powders as first-to-market with the purity, technical expertise and capacity to commercialize a full range of titanium, NiTiNOL and other alloys.
Puris is focused on meeting market demand for the purest powder possible with industry-leading production capacity that supports single sourcing for high-volume customers.
Puris maintains the highest standards for purity with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 certified processes, technology innovations that minimize contamination risk and a commitment to best practices from raw material procurement through quality assurance.
Puris’s titanium and other pre-alloyed powders and near net shape parts are used extensively in the following markets:
- Aerospace
- Oil and Gas
- Medical
A qualified supplier to large OEM customers, Puris has a proven capability to meet stringent requirements in applications ranging from metal injection molding to additive manufacturing.
Gas atomization is a robust, powder-making technology that creates pure, free-flowing, pre-alloyed metal powder particles. A stream of high-pressure, inert gas, typically argon or nitrogen, impinges a stream of molten metal, breaking it up so the metal solidifies in-flight into spherical powder particles with the same chemistry as the molten stream, hence the term pre-alloyed.
Puris enhances the inherent advantages of gas atomization with a patent-pending gas atomizer that features an all-titanium tower, cone, piping, cyclone and collection container designed to alleviate the risk of iron pickup during the atomization, which happens when the hot powder impinges these areas of the equipment.
This is one of the key innovations that enables Puris to offer the most consistent, pure powder product available in the market today.
Puris’s leadership is comprised of some of the leading pioneers in the development of advanced titanium materials, titanium processing and titanium powder metallurgy. Current white papers address contamination risks in powder atomization and the innovations implemented by Puris to mitigate those risks and offer the purest powder, in addition to product-specific papers that highlight the characteristics and applications for several of Puris’s proprietary materials.
