KT Medical Inc. located in Taiwan Kaohsiung, we are focusing on developing and manufacturing wire materials for medical applications. With our knowledge of wire fabrication and state-of-the-art processing technologies, we also provide the Guide Wire OEM services and supply wire forms & parts for medical device applications. Our factory is certified as GMP factory, and we are under ISO13485 system too. Hope we can grow with customers and create a better and healthy world.
PTFE coated wire, T-Glide, has been used widely in medical guidewire applications. KT Medical utilizes specialized coating technology to apply a strong, adherent, thin and uniform PTFE film on the wire. The resultant PTFE coating provides a low friction coefficient and added chemical resistance to form a smooth, lubricant surface for precision coiling and mandrel wires.
Braiding wires are commonly used to enhance the durability and strength of non-metal tubes. It also improves the wear-resistance of tubes for heavy-duty environment. For medical industry, braiding tubes are often used to improve the torque response, kink resistance, steering and push-ability which are critical performance factors of endoscopes, catheters or various kinds of medical tubes. We are capable of providing round wires and flat wires for braiding applications. Sizes and mechanical properties can be made to customer’s request.
Nitinol wire, T-Flex, is the super-elastic nitinol wire developed by KT Medical with ours advanced wire processing technologies. The raw materials are sourced from qualified smelters, which ensures the finished wire conforms to medical standard ASTM F2063. Subsequently, every process, from wire drawing, annealing, oxidizing/deoxidizing, to thermal-mechanical treatment is strictly controlled in order to produce designated wire properties with tight tolerances. The rigorous process control makes T-FLEX suitable for applications in critical industries such as medical devices and automobiles.
T-STRAIGHT is the pre-straightened wire developed by KT Medical with its leading wire processing technologies. It is widely used on endoscopic devices, catheter guide wires, tubing mandrels, EMG needles, and many other medical devices. Its superior strength, elasticity and straightness help to reduce the process cost by minimizing prep operations while satisfying the requirements for critical applications
