Could you tell us about the company and why you're attending MACH 2018?
ESAB is a Welding and Cutting Company; we operate globally. The company that owns MACH have probably approached us two or three times in the past to attend; this is our first year. So we decided to invest particularly in this area.
As you can see we've got really high levels of automation with cutting and welding and we’ve also got right down to hobby machines that people could possibly use in their garages or on the farm. So we have got a full scope of products on this stand for welding and joining.
Which products specifically are you highlighting today?
The main product is the DMX Bevel Cutting Machine. So typically when people cut with oxy fuel or plasma it's a straight cut, now we've got technology so we can do bevel cuts, so in terms of fabrication, it makes the joints come together easier before welding. On the other end of the scale we've got a Rebel, which is a multi-processing welding machine and this can apply from a farmer to a professional welding company.
What sets your product aside from anyone else in your space?
Innovation. We've invested very heavily in technology development, multi-million pound investment so again, the DMX and the Rebel are machines that have come out of that innovation and technology.
We're very customer focused; we listen to what the customer says, we call it, "Voice of the Customer."
So we do extensive surveys before we invest in new products. So what we deliver to the market is actually what they are asking for.
