Tell us about the company and why you are attending analytica 2018?
We are here, firstly, to present our company. We are a new company that was founded in 2014, so we think Analytica is the right stage to present our company to the public and to the industry.
We have two fields of operation. One is chromatography, and the second is particle sizing. In chromatography, we focus solely on GPC SEC, mainly on polymer catheterization, both for very simple systems and very complex systems with structural analysis etc. Within particle sizing, we represent Brookhaven Instruments from the United States, and we represent them in a number of different countries here in Europe, so Analytica is therefore good for both branches of our operation.
What products are you highlighting at analytica 2018?
We are mainly focusing on the particle size of the business. We are focusing on the nano brooke omni, which is a dynamic light scattering system, with three angles and a zeta potential capability. On the chromatography side, we are presenting our new I series of instruments, including reflective index detector, viscometer detector, UV and a combination of viscometer and reflective index, which is unique in the industry.
What makes this product different from anything else on the market?
Well we're the only company basically focusing on research in the polymer fields and in the particle fields and we are the only offering equipment complementary for polymers and particles. Mainly particles are built out of polymers, so it's very interesting to see both sides of this raw material. As a polymer and then as a particle.
Which industries will benefit from this product?
Well we are mainly focusing now on academic R&D first and industrial R&D where the field is huge; any plastics, new materials, composite materials, but we are all also, our instruments finds application in the pharmaceutical field. As a number of compounds used in the medical industry are nano particle based we are also focusing on this, so we cover the whole field.
