Room temperature curing, two part epoxy adhesive, sealant and coating EP42HT-2FG was designed to meet the needs of the food industry. This compound has been tested and certified to meet the stringent requirements of FDA CFR 175.300. Additionally, it was found to meet the toxicological requirements of the NSF/ANSI 51 (2009) Standard for Food Equipment Materials as defined in section 4.1.

Master Bond EP42HT-2FG
Master Bond EP42HT-2FG has excellent bond strength to similar and dissimilar substrates including many plastics, metals, and rubber common to the manufacturing of food service equipment. It has a tensile strength > 12,000 psi, a lap shear strength of > 2,000 psi and a tensile modulus of 450,000 psi. EP42HT-2FG has superior resistance to exposure to boiling water, radiation, steam and frozen storage conditions. This product is also resistant to fats, oils, acids, alkalis and many solvents. It can be used as a coating on storage tanks, bins, hoppers and other containment vessels. It has a low viscosity and is easy to apply. EP42HT-2FG contains no solvents or diluents. It is serviceable from -60°F to 450°F.
Master Bond EP42HT-2FG has a mix ratio of 100 to 30 by weight. The recommended cure schedule is 3-4 hours at 150-200°F or alternatively overnight at room temperature followed by 2-3 hours at 150-200°F. It is essential that the end-user consult their own legal and technical experts and perform their own testing as needed to ensure the product will perform as expected under field service conditions.
