UNS C34000 medium leaded brass is alloy of copper, zinc and lead. It has good corrosion resistance and formability. It is produced by the processes such as blanking, heading, upsetting, machining, piercing, punching, roll threading, knurling and stamping.

Machinability
The machinability rating of C34000 brass alloys is 70.
Welding
Welding methods such as soldering, brazing and butt welding are preferred for C34000 brass alloys. Oxyacetylene welding, gas shielded arc welding, coated metal arc welding, seam welding and spot welding are not preferred for this type of alloys.
Hot Working
C34000 brass alloys have good poor working property.
Cold Working
C34000 brass alloys have good cold working property.
Annealing
Annealing of C34000 brass alloys is performed at temperatures ranging from 427 to 649°C (800 to 1200°F).
