The NanoDrop™ QC Software by Thermo Scientific™, designed for the NanoDrop™ UltraC Spectrophotometer, features auto-ranging pathlengths. Accurately measure the UV-Vis absorbance of chemicals or liquid polymers up to 550 AU without diluting them. It is not necessary to know the sample concentration beforehand.
Utilize Thermo ScientificTM TQ AnalystTM software's built-in chemometric algorithms to produce results in a matter of seconds. The software can work with a variety of solutions, including adhesives, lubricants, and dyes. For this reason, it is perfect for production quality control or R&D labs.
Enhance the UV-Vis workflow by using an instrument that provides a PC-control experience or is easy to use, eliminates the need for dilution, and executes chemometric algorithms without the need for extra analysis.

NanoDrop™ UltraC UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
- Ergonomic, standalone design - integrated AndroidTM tablet provides seamless data transfer via Ethernet, USB, or wireless, and does away with the need for a separate computer.
- Auto-Blank and Auto-Measure functions — With instant measurements that occur when the pedestal arm is down, the Auto-Blank and Auto-Measure features simplify multi-sample processing. Users can turn these functions ON or OFF with a single selection.
- Includes PC software to operate the device, making it easier to develop methods and storing data on a hard drive or network location.
- There are five distinct pedestal pathlengths to choose from: 1.0, 0.2, 0.1, 0.05, and 0.03 mm.
- Auto-range pathlength technology eliminates the need for dilutions when dealing with highly concentrated samples (equivalent to 550 Abs at 10 mm) due to its broad dynamic range.
- CMOS detectors and xenon flash lamps provide spectral data from 190 to 850 nm.
- For micro-volume pedestal technology, 1 to 2 µL of clean sample is needed.
NanoDrop™ QC Quality Control Software
- Instrument software natively runs chemometric analysis - Chemometric analysis is performed natively by instrument software; users can develop chemometric techniques in TQ Analyst Software and import them into NanoDropTM QC Software. After the sample measurement is completed, the component information is displayed in a matter of seconds.
- Thermo Scientific Security Suite is included with the instruments. Computer administrators have the ability to stop users from erasing important data and from changing or removing custom methods.
- Spectra data can be readily handled in various software programs and is exported as .tsv files.
NanoDrop™ UltraC Cuvette Port
- Stirring and temperature control are included in the cuvette's position.
- Software for 1 mm, 2 mm, 5 mm, and 10 mm cuvettes is already preprogrammed.

Confidence the Sample is Clean
Common sample contaminants like guanidine or phenol salts can obstruct downstream reactions or artificially increase the apparent sample concentration. Purity ratios alone are, therefore, unable to provide a complete picture of whether the sample is suitable for the research.
Thermo ScientificTM AcclaroTM Sample Intelligence Technology can identify several undesirable substances and detect when DNA is contaminating an RNA sample.
Contaminant Detection and Analysis
Acclaro provides a thorough assessment of sample purity and can adjust sample absorbance, enabling users to safely detect, measure, and reduce contaminants. Researchers, scientists, and experts in genetic engineering, microbiology, plant biology, and agriculture can now distinguish between the DNA and RNA of bacteria and plants.
Sample Integrity Insight
When bubbles are found in a sample, the technology instantly alerts users, which could result in imprecise measurements if ignored.

Automated calculation of reaction volumes
Calculating how much sample goes into the downstream reaction can be time-consuming, and deciding on a desired sample concentration is only the first step. To let the software do the math for people, use the pre-installed library of kits or add the own. Depending on the concentration of the sample, the qPCR recipe calculator recommends how to set up the reaction.
