Vacuum Oven Digital
The Fistreem Vacuum Oven, formerly manufactured by Sanyo Gallenkamp and known as the “Gallenkamp Vacuum Oven,” is now proudly produced and marketed under the Fistreem brand. This popular, robust, and reliable oven continues to deliver the same high-quality performance users expect.
The large rectangular chamber of the Fistreem Digital Vacuum Oven has a shatter-resistant safety screen and a toughened glass viewing window.
The PID digital electronic controller can reach temperatures of up to 200 °C. An independent temperature safety circuit prevents delicate samples from overheating.
This comprises two needle valves with tubing connectors ideally located on the front panel and a vacuum gauge. The package includes two shelves and an operating manual.
Tough Construction
The exterior casing is made of rugged, stoved epoxy-polyester painted steel, which maintains its good looks even in the most difficult operating environments. The sturdy light alloy casting vacuum chamber has two shelves and three shelf positions. Huge area heater panels fastened to the chamber's exterior provide heat.
Glass fiber insulation maintains low, safe temperatures. The chamber is closed by a 12.5 mm thick toughened glass plate that seals onto a silicone rubber gasket. Four spring-loaded pins hold this glass plate onto the door, ensuring a perfect, uniform seal with the chamber. A robust, positive twist-action latch closes the doors.
A 4 mm thick shield of shatter-resistant polycarbonate covers the door window as an additional safety measure.
Temperature Control
An electronic digital PID controller, which also has an integrated over-temperature alarm, allows for quicker and easier temperature setting.
The PID controller can reach temperatures of up to 200 °C. An independent over-temperature safety circuit is included to prevent delicate samples from overheating.
Versatile
Heat-sensitive materials can be dried at low temperatures with the Fistreem Vacuum Oven, thanks to its reduced pressure feature. As an alternative, more stable samples could be dried faster at higher temperatures without the need for fan circulation.
This oven is very helpful for controlled atmosphere heating (e.g., resin curing under reduced oxygen or nitrogen conditions). Given that the inner chamber is sealed, it might also be appropriate for solvent removal tasks—as long as the oven and the room have sufficient ventilation and exhaust systems.
Vacuum Controls
A dependable exhaust and inlet valves have been installed. These are positioned close to the oven's bottom front corner for easy access to an exhaust system, vapor trap, or vacuum pump. The serrated nozzles can use flexible vacuum tubing with a 10–12 mm bore. A gauge measuring vacuum pulled from 0 to 1000 mbar is installed.
