Santec's brand-new TSL-570 is a high-performance tunable laser with a broad tuning range and an output that combines high power and a high signal-to-noise ratio. It uses a novel optical cavity architecture that offers sub-picometer resolution and accuracy, together with fine speed control up to 200 nm/s.
In photonics, tunable lasers are widely utilized for spectroscopy, sensors, quantum photonics, photonic integrated circuit testing, and optical component characterization. The TSL-570 from Santec is a feature-rich, high-spec instrument that can be used in any situation.
It features Ethernet, GPIB, and USB connections for remote control in addition to an easy-to-use touch panel display. For remote deployments, a Wake-on-LAN (WoL) capability is convenient. Models with outputs up to 20 mW are available for the 1240 to 1680 nm wavelength range.
