Background

Dr Nick Farmilo is a Business Development Manager with experience in research, sales and technology transfer. He is educated to PhD level with eight additional years experience in R&D and two successful spells in marketing and sales management.

Nick has previously worked at AEA Technology, QinetiQ and BNF Metals Technology.

During his time at the Materials and Engineering Research Institute, Nick has played a key role in developing the institutes research portfolio and in winning funding from the regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward to create the Materials Analysis & Research Services Centre in the first funding round.
