Hydro May Close Aluminium Potline Earlier Than Expected and Shelve Plans for Modern Plant

The oldest electrolytic technology at Karmøy aluminium plant, the Søderberg
potlines, may be closed earlier than so far scheduled. The current market situation
has also made Hydro temporarily shelve its plans for a new, modern production
line at Karmoy
