DuPont Opens Zytel® Compounding Facility in China

DuPont Engineering Polymers recently celebrated the opening of the DuPont™ Zytel® GRZ nylon resin compounding facility in Shenzhen, China. The site was created to help meet increasing Chinese demand.

China is a cornerstone of our growth strategy and success in this market is crucial to maintaining our global leadership in the industry," said Tim McCann, global business director, High Productivity Business – DuPont Engineering Polymers.

"The opening of the Zytel® GRZ Nylon Resin Compounding Facility is another encouraging evidence of our long-term commitment to our customers in China," said Lawrence Chang, marketing manager, DuPont Engineering Polymers – Greater China.

"Our mission is to be a reliable and committed partner and to move forward and grow with our customers in this vital market," he said.

In addition to the new facility, DuPont Engineering Polymers announced its intent to establish the joint venture Asahi-DuPont POM (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd in March 2002 and opened the Engineering Polymers Technical Center in Shenzhen in October 2002.
