Automated mineralogy technology leader Intellection has extended its global sales and support reach, with the appointment of Beamtech Nordiska AB as its distributor for Sweden, Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
A well known agent in the region for electron microscopy products, Beamtech Nordiska is now the exclusive agent for sales and support of Intellection solutions, including the QEMSCAN® automated, quantitative particle analysis and identification technology.
Intellection CEO Calvin Treacy said, “Beamtech Nordiska has an excellent reputation for technical expertise and customer service, and we are extremely pleased to have them as part of our global team.
“Joining forces with Beamtech Nordiska significantly enhances our sales and support coverage across northern Europe.
“With the recent opening of our new UK-based regional office, and our distributor agreement with Carl Zeiss Russia, we now have an extremely strong team growing our European business, and providing locally-based support to European customers.”
Countries covered by the agreement include Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, although Intellection will maintain direct support for a number of existing customers.
Beamtech Nordiska spokesperson Michael Andersson said, “It was an easy decision for us to start cooperation with Intellection, given Beamtech Nordiska’s previous involvement with Intellection founder Paul Gottlieb and QEMSCAN®, and our many years of supply and servicing of electron microscopes from Carl Zeiss NTS. The new distributorship fits our present activities and competence very well.
“Intellection is a fast growing company with great potential, and we know the QEMSCAN® product has a great future.”
The agreement builds upon the relationship already established between the two companies. Beamtech Nordiska staff attended Intellection’s last User Group conference, training courses, and have been involved with QEMSCAN® installations.
The agreement will see Intellection and Beamtech Nordiska undertake joint marketing activities in north-western Europe.
