PANalytical, the world's leading supplier of X-ray analysis systems, is holding its fourth Building Materials Analysis workshop organized in conjunction with the University of Halle in Germany.
The meeting will focus on the use of X-ray analysis techniques for clinker and cement production and quality control. Complementary methods will also be covered, including chemical analysis, SEM and cathodoluminescence, microscopy and selective dissolution. Aimed at professionals, graduate scientists and engineers working in the cement industry or research, this three-day event will take place from 24 to 26 March 2009 at the Mineralogical/Geochemical Institute, of the Martin Luther University in Halle a.d. Saale, Germany.
Specialists from PANalytical, together with leading researchers from the University of Halle and other industry and academic speakers, will give lectures on X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) high-end industry applications and topical research.
X-ray analysis has advanced from its roots in the research laboratory to applications in process and quality control. It is now regarded as one of the most powerful process and quality control tools for building materials. PANalytical is committed to meeting the requirements of the global building materials sector and continues to focus on the analysis needs of this industry.
