Society of Plastics Engineers Now Offer Online Traning Courses

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) has formed a partnership with A. Routsis Associates, Inc. to provide interactive online training packages that industry personnel can access at any time and from any place, SPE announced today.

The multi-course training packages are available for purchase from SPE's new Online Store at www.4spe.org/online-store. Discounts are available for SPE members.

"As the premier source of training services for the plastics industry, A. Routsis provides a valuable addition to SPE's mission of offering rigorously developed, up-to-date plastics technical information," said Tom Conklin, SPE director of marketing and sales. "The online training packages created by A. Routsis include sophisticated multimedia features such as video from actual production environments, 3D animation, and professional narration, plus a high degree of the interactivity that is so important for effective training."

Purchasing a training package from the SPE Online Store enables an individual to have unlimited access to the courses in the package for a full year, with the flexibility of being able to pick up where he or she left off, on a "24 / 7" basis, simply by logging on.

Currently available are these training packages:

  • Design Engineering (20 online courses)
  • Scientific Molding Package (8 online courses)
  • Injection Molding Basics – Enhanced Package (5 online courses)

In addition, a course entitled "An Introduction to Injection Molding" is available for free to SPE members for 30 days. Nonmembers pay $97 or can take advantage of the free offer by joining SPE.
