Second Call for Papers for World Powder Metallurgy Congress and Exhibition

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has just launched the Second Announcement & Call for Papers for the World PM2010 Congress & Exhibition 10 - 14 October 2010. Authors are invited to submit abstracts of original and previously unpublished papers for publication in the Technical Programme of the World PM2010 Congress. This major global gathering of the Powder Metallurgy Industry which takes place in Europe every six years will cover the full topic of powder metallurgy and associated sectors.

"This is a unique opportunity for academics and research and development personnel to present their work to an international audience of contemporaries" said Andrew Almond, World PM2010 Promotion Manager. He added "The World PM2010 Congress & Exhibition will be a superb place to showcase the potential of powder metallurgy, especially when companies may be looking at creating competitive advantage for their future products."

The World PM2010 Technical Programme of Plenary, Oral and Poster Presentations, will be held in parallel with a number of Special Interest Seminars, which will embrace the full spectrum of powder metallurgy and particulate materials from production to final applications. The programme will attract leading academics to present the latest developments in PM. The plenary presentations by invited speakers of international renown will present global reviews on the latest market trends and will feature information on road mapping exercises for the future requirements of the industry.

The World PM2010 Congress & Exhibition, 10-14 October 2010, will take place at the Fortezza da Basso Congress Centre, situated within the historic centre of Florence. Florence located in the heart of Tuscany, will provide an outstanding location to explore, away from the industrious business of powder metallurgy.

Abstracts of between 100 and 150 words should be submitted online only via the EPMA Website www.epma.com/pm2010 by the deadline date of 30th November 2009.
