The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2014 PM Thesis Competition at both Diploma (Masters) and Doctorate (PhD) levels.
“The aim of the competition is to develop an interest in and to promote powder metallurgy among young scientists at European academic establishments and to encourage research at under-graduate and post-graduate levels” explained Joan Hallward, Thesis Competition Coordinator.
The competition is open to all applicants who have graduated from a European university and who have had their theses approved during the 2011/2012, 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 academic years. The subject must be classified under the topic Powder Metallurgy.
The prizes, sponsored by Höganäs AB, will be presented at the Opening Plenary session of Euro PM2014 Congress & Exhibition in Salzburg, Austria on Monday, 22nd September 20124. Winners will each receive a cheque for €750 in the Diploma Category and €1,000 for the Doctorate category, with the opportunity of having their work published in the prestigious journal “Powder Metallurgy” and FREE registration to the PM2014 Congress & Exhibition.
