Printed Circuit Design & Fab magazine, a leading publication in the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) industry, recently announced the winners of its 2009 New Product Introduction Awards. The awards recognize the leading new products for printed circuit design and fabrication during the past 12 months. In the Specialty Materials category, the winning entry was DuPont Pyralux APR embedded resistor laminate. Products were judged based on innovation and creativity, compatibility with existing technology, cost-effectiveness, environmental consideration, performance and user-friendliness.
"DuPont Pyralux APR embedded resistor laminates provide designers with unique options in high performance flex or rigid PCB applications, and demand for Pyralux APR has been strong," said Robert J. O'Connor, global business manager, Embedded Passives, Electronic Technologies. "The six products in the Pyralux APR series initially introduced in 2009, have since grown to 12. There are approximately 20 customers currently utilizing Pyralux APR, with new sales or samples averaging about two per week, and we're looking forward to continued growth as recognition for the benefits of Pyralux APR continues to expand."
The awards were presented at a special ceremony during the IPC Expo/Apex trade show, and DuPont was featured in the Printed Circuit Design & Fab June Supplier Spotlight.
"We were overwhelmed by the number of new products and the quality of the entries," said Kathy Nargi-Toth, editor of the magazine. "Many companies are continuing to invest in new product development to benefit the PCB industry. We are pleased to be able to recognize the tremendous research and development efforts that have gone into these products."
