Goodfellow, a leading global distributor of metals and materials for research and industry, continues to strengthen its presence in Japan by exhibiting at the 2009 Japan Exposition of Analytical Instruments and Solutions, or JAIMA Show. Using the theme "Seeding the Potential for Tomorrow," this year's show will be held September 3-5 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Japan. The JAIMA Show is a major international exhibition and academic conference, attracting more than 20,000 attendees each year.
In 2008, Goodfellow greatly expanded sales and marketing activities in Japan with the appointment of three distributors: New Metals & Chemicals Corporation Limited of Tokyo and Osaka, Tokyo-based Furuuchi Chemical Corporation, and Niki Glass Co. Ltd, also of Tokyo and Osaka. Working with Intralink, a firm specializing in helping science and technology companies access and develop the Japanese and Chinese markets, Goodfellow has been significantly increasing its penetration of the Far East market for metals and materials used in research, development, and specialised manufacturing applications.
In addition to its UK headquarters, Goodfellow has subsidiary companies in the US, France and Germany, as well as the Shanghai Representative Office of Goodfellow Cambridge Ltd. (www.gutefu.cn) in China.
Goodfellow specialises in supplying small to medium size quantities (a few grammes to a few kilos) of metals and materials for research, prototype development and specialised manufacturing applications. The comprehensive Goodfellow Catalogue can be accessed at www.goodfellow.com
