Edmund Optics to Distribute DiCon LED Microscope Illuminator Products

DiCon LED is excited to announce their new sales distributorship with Edmund Optics, the premier provider of optical and imaging components, as DiCon's worldwide distributor Microscope LED Illuminator product line.

An LED array technology company, DiCon LED selected Edmund Optics to be their distribution partner due to their vast application experience in illumination and imaging for the electronics, semiconductor, and biomedical markets. Combining DiCon's advanced LED technology with Edmund Optics' extensive market presence and knowledge, DiCon will be better able to serve the industrial markets through this partnership.

"Given Edmund Optics' broad customer base, DiCon will be able to respond quickly to changes in customer requirements and requests for new features, in the very demanding industrial solid-state lighting markets," said Robert Schleicher, DiCon's VP of Product Development.

Edmund Optics will first carry DiCon's new Microscope Illuminators, featuring high-brightness LED arrays with multiple mounting options, several output choices, and dynamic control options for microscopy and machine vision applications. These fiber optic illuminators effortlessly replace halogen or xenon illuminators to grant all the benefits of LED technology, including color-changing ability, adjustment of white light color temperature, low power consumption, and little heat. The revolutionary programming options on the illuminator allow the user to specify and tailor the color, intensity, and time duration of the light output for the user's particular application.
